Illustrations in Blue Bic Pen

Drawing illustrations from my imagination has been a pleasure. Playing around with my bic pen led to writing and illustrating my first book, but it is also personally the most difficult kind of creation. I'm very comfortable copying what I see, whether from life or from reference. Making up art and visual stories from my mind is a challenge, and I've only enjoyed it more lately because after years of practice I can refer to a fairly large mental database of realistic colors, shapes, shades and compositions in order to create something new as well as artistically competent.
